Art of Problem Solving (2022-)

Leading creator of educational resources for high-performing math students in grades 2-12, including textbooks, an online school, in-person learning centers, and a variety of online applications.

• Managing the engineering team for the AoPS Academy product, leading technical decisions, delegating projects, and being invovled in product strategy.
• Spearheading the rebuild and redesign for our product, modernizing our codebase/UI, revamping our backend architecture, and adding new UX features.

• Maintenance and bugfixes for the AoPS Online and Virtual Campus products.
• Developed an achievement system for AoPS Online Classroom courses, allowing students to earn badges through completing their coursework.
• Contributed to the "Platform" project, syncing the accounts across our three main products into one Platform/AoPS account.

Juni Learning (2019-2021)

An education/tech startup company offering 1:1 classes in Computer Science, Mathematics, Language Arts, and Finance to kids 5-18.

Each role I held included all the responsibilities of the previous role.

• Responsible for all training processes within the company’s operations, including any upcoming products (class types, subjects, etc.)
• Managed and supervised all 1,000+ part and full-time instructors across all subjects, and all Senior Instructors
• Oversaw and optimized the 10-25 trainings and 5-15 first classes happening per day at the company. During my time in this role, I decreased poor first class performance from 15% to 7%
• Hosted weekly meetings with managers of other teams to discuss, forsee, and act on any future improvements based on trends, customer needs, and changes in the company.
• Actively updated and provided training/growth resources for instructors and reached out for feedback, raising instructor confidence in first classes to 90%.
• Worked closely with Curriculum team to educate myself in all subjects at the company in order to provide the best support to all instructors

• Personally trained 8-12 instructors and shadowed 4-6 first classes per week, using my expertise to provide support for new and existing instructors
• Helped originate the Juni Fellowship position, a role created by my managers inspired by my own experience and performance at the company from a part-time instructor to a full-time HQ member
• Interviewed 10-15 candidates per week, and helped make final decisions in all rounds of our interview process
• Spearheaded project to restructure all training processes, decreasing training cost per instructor from 1 hour to 35 minutes

• Taught varying levels of Scratch, Python, Java, and Web Development to over 30 students per week, aged 7 to 19, in a 1:1 environment
• Communicated with parents during class and in after-session notes, making sure I adapt to effectively support each of their learning styles
• Selected to teach 1-2 trial sessions, free classes offered to potential subscribers, per week
• Quickly adapted to each student's learning styles and behavior, and thoroughly indentified their individual needs

Circle K International (2017-2018)

An international collegiate service organization promoting community service, leadership, and fellowship.

• Maintained and updated the organization and district websites in HTML, CSS, and PHP weekly
• (Personal assignment) Re-designed the navigation bar and added a resources section for important documents, waivers, etc.

Kaibigang Pilipina/o (2017-2019)

"Friendship of Filipinos" - A Filipino cultural organization focused on social, academic, and cultural empowerment.

• Recruited and led this year's team of Peer Counselors, hosting meetings twice a week centered around self-reflection and growth
• Worked with the rest of the organization's board to plan and manage general body events, such as orientation and workshops
• Collaborated with SPACES, a community access and retention organization, to lead a 2-week summit for high school students on social justice and higher education.

• Mentored fellow members of the organization with academic, personal, or professional help. Attended meetings twice a week for workshops and discussions on self-reflection
• Communicated and met with assigned students throughout the school year, providing mentorship and promoting retention and growth
